“Now learn a lesson from the fig tree. When its branches bud and its leaves begin to sprout, you know that summer is near. In the same way, when you see all these things, you can know his return is very near, right at the door. I tell you the truth, this generation (the one that experiences all of the outlined signs) will not pass from the scene until all these things take place.
Many false messiahs will appear and they will have a large following.
Many wars will be fought between nations but the end won’t come immediately.
Famine and earthquakes will happen in many parts of the world but the end won’t come immediately.
Christians hated by the rest of the world and will be arrested, persecuted, and killed.
Many Christians will renounce their faith in Jesus and betray those that do.
False prophets who do not speak the heart of God but speak what people want to hear will have a large following.
Sin will be unrestrained and Christians will become desensitized, their love for God grows cold.
The Christian who does not participate in sin and whose heart remains passionate for God will be victorious.
When the fullness and truth of the Gospel is preached to all people, and when the entire world is given the opportunity to either accept or reject it, then the end will come.
These are some of the signs outlined by Jesus before He returns. You can read the rest of the signs in the remainder of Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 17.
When the fig tree wakes up from it's dormant state, the sap will begin to flow and buds will sprout. This is the indicator that summer is near.
God never leaves us in the dark. When you see the signs outlined in Matthew 24, Mark 13, and Luke 17, know that the age of time is beginning to come to a close. As time progresses and events are fulfilled, the end of the age is here. As His children, we will be prepared for His coming.
